The first thrusters were built in 2002 by Dean Vitale. Over the years the unit has evolved into a high performance machine capable of reaching speeds up to 170 ft per minute (in a controlled pool environment).

Why Dive With Pegasus?
Mr. Vitale serves as the Company's President. He is currently employed as a contract commercial aviation project manager directing the conversion of passenger jets into freight carriers and the heavy maintenance refurbishment of older wide body jet planes. Mr. Vitale's position requires him to manage up to 250 contractors on any single assignment. He has received extensive training from Boeing on airframes and GE on engines. His major area of airframe expertise is avionics and electrical systems. Mr. Vitale is an experienced diver certified in the use of advanced nitrox for technical dives. He holds a US Coast Guard certified 25 Ton Master Captain's license.
Mr. Williams is the Company's Vice President of Operations and Research and Development. He is also employed as a contract commercial aviation Technical Consultant dealing with aircraft conversion and heavy maintenance refurbishment projects very similar to those described for Mr. Vitale. His technical training includes 2 1/2 years of aviation technical school, obtaining an Airframe & Power plant license and more than 500 hours of technical training on large commercial Boeing, McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed aircraft systems as well as GE, Pratt Whitney and Allison turbine engines. Mr. Williams' technical area of expertise concerns manufacturing processes and the physics of aviation. Mr. Williams is an accomplished aviation technician and machinist with years of hands-on training and experience in the manufacturing and fabrication of aircraft components.
